Two-Piece Kitchen and Fridge Playset

Two pieces that work together. The first is a kitchen unit with a microwave, a hob, a sink and cupboards underneath. The second is a tall fridge-freezer, and it is the better half of the set.

Open the fridge doors and the shelves are already stocked — milk bottles, juice cartons, jars, fruit and vegetables, a roast on a tray, and plates and cups stacked in the door. There is a freezer drawer at the bottom and a rack that pulls out below it.

The control panel lights up with a digital display, and the microwave door opens like the real thing. It runs on three LR44 button cells.

What makes this set work is that it is not one object. A child can cook at one unit and fetch ingredients from the other, which is how the game actually gets played — a single moulded kitchen runs out of ideas much faster.

Ages 3 and over.
