Four-Piece Household Appliance Playset

Most playsets are about cooking. This one is about everything else that happens in a house.

Four pieces: a top-loading washing machine, a sewing machine, an iron, and a vacuum cleaner with a flexible hose and handle. Each is moulded as its own appliance with buttons and dials, and each is a different shape and a different action — which is what keeps a child moving between them instead of losing interest in one.

It runs on two AA batteries, which are not supplied.

There is a practical argument for this set that the kitchen ones do not have. Children copy what they see adults doing at home, and most of what they see is not cooking. It is laundry, tidying and mending. A set that covers that gets played with in a way that mirrors the actual household.
