1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of playstan.co (the “Site”) and any purchase you make from Playstan. By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About Playstan
Playstan is a Pakistan-based toy business selling children’s toys online, operating from Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, through the website playstan.co.
3. Eligibility
The Site is intended for use by adults (18 years or older) purchasing toys, typically on behalf of children. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Pakistani law, or that you are placing the order with the involvement or consent of a parent or guardian.
4. Products and Pricing
We make reasonable efforts to display accurate product descriptions, images, and prices. However:
- Colors, packaging, and minor design details may vary slightly from images shown, due to manufacturer variation or display/screen differences;
- Prices are listed in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and are subject to change without prior notice, though changes will not affect orders already confirmed;
- We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse, or cancel any order at our discretion — for example, in cases of suspected fraud, repeated COD refusal, pricing errors, or stock unavailability. Where we cancel a confirmed order, we will notify you promptly.
If a product is displayed with an obvious technical, typographical, or pricing error, Playstan may cancel the affected order and notify the customer. Any amount actually paid for a cancelled order will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
5. Orders and Payment
Playstan currently accepts online bank transfers and Cash on Delivery (COD) as payment methods. By placing a COD order, you agree to pay the courier the full order amount, in cash, at the time of delivery. Repeated refusal to accept COD deliveries without valid reason may result in Playstan restricting or refusing future orders from the account or phone number/address associated with the refusal.
5A. Order Confirmation and Cancellation
Playstan may contact customers to confirm Cash on Delivery (COD) orders. If an order cannot reasonably be confirmed, Playstan may cancel the order. Customers may request cancellation before dispatch; once an order has been dispatched, cancellation may not be available. Refusing a dispatched COD parcel may be treated as a COD delivery refusal.
5B. COD Abuse and Order Restrictions
To protect against fraud, repeated COD refusals, repeated false or abusive return or defect claims, or other misuse of the Site, Playstan may restrict or suspend COD availability, require partial or full advance payment, limit quantities, cancel orders, or refuse future orders, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Restrictions may apply to accounts, phone numbers, delivery addresses, or other order identifiers reasonably associated with prior abusive activity.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Orders are dispatched via our courier partner, TCS, and are generally delivered within 3 to 5 working days from the date of order confirmation, depending on your location within Pakistan. Delivery timelines are estimates only and may be affected by factors outside our control, including courier delays, weather, public holidays, or incomplete/incorrect address information. Playstan is not liable for delays caused by such factors, but will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed and resolve issues promptly.
7. Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by our separate Refund & Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: items may be returned within 7 calendar days of delivery if undamaged and in original condition, subject to the exceptions set out in that Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including the Playstan name, logo, product photography, descriptions, graphics, and site design — is the property of Playstan or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law in Pakistan. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission.
9. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems or networks;
- Submit false, fraudulent, or malicious information, including placing orders with intent not to accept delivery;
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Site, including through malware, scraping, or automated bots.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Pakistani law, Playstan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or your purchase of products, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of use, or delays in delivery caused by third-party couriers. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Pakistani consumer-protection law, including the Sindh Consumer Protection Act, 2014.
11. Product Safety Notice
Playstan takes toy safety seriously. Please observe age recommendations and safety warnings printed on product packaging, and supervise children during play, particularly with toys containing small parts. If you believe a product is unsafe or defective, contact us immediately using the details below.
12. Privacy
Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our separate Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable law, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Sindh, Pakistan.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or applicable law. The “Effective Date” at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
